Luca Sartor | Visual Narrative Storyteller

Writer & Photographer based in Asia since 2010

Asia has never been merely a destination, but a territory of research and lived experience. Since 2010, I have lived, traveled, and worked across this continent, transforming a personal journey born of curiosity into a professional project dedicated to observing places and the people who inhabit them.

My perspective lies at the intersection of documentary reportage and visual storytelling, with the intention of narrating atmospheres rather than simply chasing the perfect image. I am drawn to the subtle tensions that define these territories: the contrast between the stillness of ancient temples and the chaos of night markets, the artificial light bathing Bangkok’s streets in the rain, or the silent memory suspended above the cities.

My work is rooted in respect. I believe Asia deserves narratives that honor its complexity, not stereotypes. I partner with brands who share this commitment to dignity and truth.

Nomadic Perceptions gathers this journey, an archive built by living places before photographing them, translating the experience of travel into visual stories that seek to reveal, surface, and convey the dignity, depth, and presence of the people and places encountered along the way.

The book

I traded the repetition of a routine life for the unpredictable rhythm of the Asian roads.

Since 2010, I’ve been documenting the contrasts between ancient silence and urban chaos. My book, Nomadic Perceptions, is the result of fifteen years spent meeting people and observing territories without pretending life is always neat.

It’s a 100-photo and text journey into the cultural and emotional depth of the nomadic experience. If you are looking for a different perspective on how we inhabit this world, this book was made for you.
